There are not many 3d blu ray titles available yet but this is a fairly inclusive list of the best 3d blu ray movies that are available for christmas.

Note: There are rumors of a 3d blu ray version of Toy Story 3 which may be available in the middle of December. If this is true it will be by far the number one or two movie to own (competing with Avatar).

LG is set to offer a first in the burgeoning market of 3D TVs: it will have the first sets with LCD backlighting. Thats right… backlighting!

The LX9500 will be the company’s first entry into the 3D market, which has currently become filled by Samsung and Panasonic The LX9500 will be available in both a 47-inch and a 55-inch model.

The 1080p sets will have Skype’s TV platform, USB support, HDMI connections, and support for LG’s USB-powered 3D glasses. It is also decorated with a full backlit display, the first 3D set to do so.

According to the blog Ubergizmo, which translated LG’s Korean press release, the set is planned to be released in Korea next month at around the equivalent of a little over $4,000.

The LX9500 will then make its way to the US and Europe by May.

Early adopters in the 3D TV market have proven that there is significant demand. Panasonic’s first set of 3D TVs sold out across the country within just a week, and Samsung’s sets are also selling through at higher rates than analysts were expecting.

This is a very very very inexpensive LCD television. It provides adequate color contrast, but the viewing angles are not the best. If you are looking for a cheap television that is adequate (maybe for that spare room, or for your kid’s room) then this is a great television. At only $167 the price can not be beat.

This LG television is 3d ready, however, it has nothing on the samsung from our earlier review. If you are truly interested in a 3d television, it looks like Samsung is currently the holy grail.

If you head down to your local best buy you can get a look at the brand new Samsung 3d television. 3d is slowly becoming the wave of the future. It looks amazing, of course you need to wear glasses if you want to watch a 3d program or blu-ray disk. The glasses are much less obtrusive than movie theater glasses, and the integration is almost seamless.

Electro Buzz’s Top 5 Plasma Television Reviews

The Panasonic Viera S1 32 is a pretty good television for the price! The Panasonic Viera has very good quality IPS panel, a superior LCD technology which is generally used in just a few premium computer monitors.

The horizontal and vertical viewing angles are nearly as good as CRT and plasma televisions and there was no color shifting, this is rare among LCD televisions.  The Tv comes with S-Video, Component, Composite, and 3 HDMI inputs, both digital and analog audio outputs and the 1920×1080 signal can be displayed 1:1 with no cutting off of the edges, such as from a PC with a DVI-HDMI cable

Cons
VGA (for computers) input resolution is limited to 1280×1024, and diagonal viewing can turn blacks gray (just make sure the TV is placed at eye level to get the ideal wide viewing angles).  The speakers are somewhat weaker than other similar TVs and Only Cinema mode (with brightness at 50 and Contrast at 100) has reasonably accurate color, the other modes make color changes that are not user accessible.

For the price, this is an EXCELLENT LCD television, while I am not the biggest fans of LCDs they are are perfect for anyone who is looking for a relatively inexpensive high definition television.  As such, we have given this television a Buzz Score of 4 out of 5
